Retro Soda Pop Wedding

I’m so excited to share this photoshoot with you guys!! We had such an AMAZING team of Vendors! We also could not have pulled it together without our collaboration team, Ashley from Hawkeye Photography, Emily from The Pear Blossom Floral and myself. It took us a couple of months to put this shoot together and every idea came to life with every last detail!!

My part in the collaboration is the hair and makeup for the bride, bridesmaids and flower girls. I also styled Gabby (bride) with her jewelry, veil and those adorable bow adorned platform shoes (buy shoes).

My inspiration for this shoot was simple, elegant with retro pop! So I kept Gabby’s makeup very clean and simple but added a pop with the winged eyeliner and red lips! Her hair was very classic with barrel curls and pin curls with a birdcage veil! To draw eye to her beautiful face and hair was the red and white jeweled necklace (buy necklace) around her neck.  She also had matching earrings and bracelet, making it a standout trio!

Her beautiful tea length dress was the perfect platform to make a statement for stand out footwear! Since red is such a prominent color in the shoot, that is the color we chose! I love the detailing of the wingtip t strap and the bow!

Ashley and Emily brought cat eye sunglasses for the bride and flower girls to add some super cute flair and pop to the shoot! Two of my girls were the flower girls. It was easy to go for the polka dot skirt with bright converse to enhance the retro pop feel! The girls each had a matching sash to coordinate with their shoes. Hair styles were simple and on point. The older flower girls had a victory roll on their fringe with cute pigtails and the little girls had curled up helmet bobs!! Hopefully I will get a video out soon of these cute hairstyles! They each got to have some pink lip gloss too!

The bridesmaids were simple but cohesive to let the bride shine! They had a fringe poof with loose waves and red lips to finish of their “pop” look.

This shoot was so much fun and so amazing to put together. I got to work closely with family and a good friend from high school! Thank you so much to all the vendors and models. Thank you to Emily and Ashley for being such amazing team members and Thank You to you for reading and being a part of this!

xo, Julie
